It feels like things are starting to move!

C and I had a session with an interior designer last week to select colours for our new house.

I anticipated the session to be quite stressful, but we made decisions reasonably quickly (just over two hours). Our colour palate is fairly neutral and I get the impression that we are not straying too far from standard with our choices.

To make it easier on ourselves we are using the same colours throughout! The same benchtops will be in our kitchen and bathrooms, with the same cupboard doors. We only have one paint colour for our walls to make it easier.

Hopefully it will not be too bland. We should be able to jazz everything up with bright accessories, and the wall will be our blank canvas.

We asked for samples of our choices, we have a few and Tenielle from INDESIGN has promised to send out the paint colours and others when she has them. The photo shows the floor tile we have picked with cupboards, kitchen benchtop and laundry benchtop colours (clockwise from top). Tenielle and Mel went through paint colours and benchtops and the internal scheme before meeting us at Original Ceramics to pick tiles. Thankfully they did not have too large a range or we could have been there for ages!

We are building a house, plans are into the council and it finally feels like we are getting somewhere!
